The End of My Degrassi Marathon

So I’ve watched over 50 episodes of degrassi. Seasons One though…I think it was 7? And it’s hilarious because I just sort of “happened upon” the show. And decided I should set it to record. Little did I know, MTV/The N were having a “degrassi 101” program.

Here are my general feelings about a few characters:
Major hottie! Whenever she goes “you’re just jealous” she’s totally right because they ARE just jealous. Can’t believe she got preggers, but what did she expect after this:
Wearing a thong that high up can only result in a two things, a really bad yeast infection and/or teenage pregnancy. After that she became a little less “slutty” but in general she’s a little ethnic sexpot.
OMG PAIGE shut up FOREVER. Jesus, I hate her acting style so much. And as I Have pointed out numerous times, this actress, whoever the fuck she is, is not nearly attractive enough to play the “smart, pretty perfect” role that she occupies. I never heard any fat jokes directed at her. And while she isn’t obese, she held on to that “baby fat” well into season 6. Her whole little rape story line was okay, although I was really pissed when she totalled Spinner’s car. To think he took her back! Then she goes all Lezzz on us. I’d say she was the least believable Lipstick Lesbian choice.What really got me was the whole “panic attack” story line. Like, can you get ANY MORE DRAMATIC. stop, just stop. Panic attacks? Her quarter life crisis is fitting, but the idea of her being famous rich and…pretty in “degrassi goes Hollywood” is totally preposterous. In general, whenever she walked into a room I wanted her to shut up.
Hey Spinner! What’s up! He’s so cool lol. I mean, I know he got Jimmy shot and everything, and I totally get why some people would be angry about that. But look, JIMMY isn’t even mad anymore. Whatever it takes, guys. Spinner is just a mad chill dude. I know he probably smokes tons of weed and that’s why his eyes are so squinty all the time. He seemed to go through a lot of awkward hairstyle changes, and he was kinda homophobic for a bit. But then he and Marco made up. I thought it was totally whack when he was a bible banger. But that wasn’t his fault, I mean, they wrote it into the script lol. Spinner would never go all bible banging for a chick that wasn’t even PUTTING OUT. nah man. Me and Spinner could hang out. We’d be friends.
